MEDAEO initially began as a separate strand of our sister company, Signet, which specialises in bespoke product embellishments chiefly aimed at the luxury food and drinks market. We noticed more and more enquiries coming from tourist and entertainment business looking for giveaways and rewards that were of a higher quality, and made bespoke so they could offer their customers something a bit different.
We knew that with our experience in luxury markets, we could offer them what they needed – premium freebies that make a big impression on the customer, without costing the earth. And because we didn’t want to cost the actual earth either, we pledged to develop a range of giveaway products that would also be kind to the planet.
Thus, MEDAEO was born!

With more than 17 years’ experience in the industry, what Hugh doesn’t know about successful brand enhancement isn’t worth knowing – and at 6ft 2, he’s got personal experience of standing out from the crowd! Hugh’s vast expertise is highly valued by his clients while his level-headed approach means he’s never phased by tight deadlines or complex briefs.
Creativity and organizational ninja skills make client advisor Lucy George an invaluable part of the MEDAEO team. Lucy’s ability to interpret a brief is second to none and she’s adept at establishing good rapport with her clients, which facilitates real ‘blue sky thinking’ that has yielded some of our most exciting projects. Lucy lives and breathes her role, and admits she never gets sick of planning, drawing and costing out new product ideas!
Bethan’s role as Operations Assistant means she works closely with Edward to keep our ducks in a row at all times – a task that suits her as a keen animal lover! Incredible organizational skills are Bethan’s secret weapon for ensuring that orders are processed and progressed on schedule, so our customers receive their products on time and within budget.
Quality and consistency are key to everything we do at MEDAEO and that makes QC Manager Melvyn Lindsell’s role very important – he’s responsible for sampling every batch of product we receive as well as creating quality specifications that set a high standard for our entire portfolio. He’s also in charge of ensuring we adhere to the requirements of our international quality accreditations.
