Established in the 1970s by the Irwin family, Australia Zoo came to prominence under the late, great Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter and conservation fanatic. Today the zoo carries on Steve’s legacy of education and living in harmony with the native flora and fauna of Australia and welcomes almost three quarters of a million visitors each year.

MEDAEO was delighted to receive an enquiry from this world-famous attraction, seeking help to increase guest satisfaction and return visits.

We proposed a collectible range of badges featuring full colour images of the various animals in the Zoo, with the idea being that children would want to complete their collection through return visits. The Zoo kept adding new designs to the collection which further boosted the ‘want factor’ as well as reinforcing what the child learnt at the Zoo on each visit, and providing an emotional connection to their favourite animals.
